'Stranger Than Paranoia' is a small intimite music festival that shows any kind of musical disciplines as well as crossover music with other disciplines, with one binding element: improvisation.

Started in the year 1993, the festival is held between 24 - 29 december yearly at the 'Paradox' jazzclub (200 p.) in Tilburg in the Netherlands.
Each night - five nights and an afternoon - there are 3 showcases consisting of totally different music styles; from national heroes till international acts.

The 'Stranger Than Paranoia' festival is combining different styles of music and it crosses borders: from jazz to classical, from Spanish music to avant-garde, from big band to funk, from pop to stringquartet as well as performances for children.

The festival is highly appreciated by musiciens, public and press and is recommended and supported by the Ministery of Culture. 'Stranger Than Paranoia' is therefore one of the most important small festivals in the Netherlands. 

Since 2003 the 'Stranger than Paranoia'festival cooperates with other national- and international festivals/organisations.
