SOUL’AFRIQUE, latest project Van Kemenade Quintet & Faku, Mnisi, Mhlanga in may and june 2014

Twenty years of  Dutch – South African collaboration, A great project of  28 concerts in the Netherlands and in South Africa. Since 1994 Dutch altosaxophonist-composer Paul van Kemenade has a strong relationship with the renowned South African musicians Feya Faku, Sydney Mnisi and Louis Mhlanga. In 1994 Van Kemenade’s quintet played a seven-week tour in South Africa and they were joined bu Feya Fakuy and the late Zim Ngqawana. Over the years Faku and Van Kemenade kept playing together (since 1998 also with Mnisi) and they played in South Africa, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, sometimes joined by Bheki Khoza and Sonti Mndebele. This year 2014 they together have their 20 th anniversary and the 8-piece band will play 29 concerts in may and june/beginning july in Nl and SA to celebrate this great SA – NL collaboration. Only a  few dates can still be booked.
