On december 22 2024 Paul has received the ‘Gouden Erepenning’ (Gold Medal of Honor) for his special contribution in jazz to the city of Tilburg. It was given after a concert at the 32nd and last Stranger than Paranoia festival at the Paradox in Tilburg by the loco mayor Marcelle Hendricks.
