The foundation Paul van Kemenade initiated a new plan for an International youth orchestra for musicians between 15 and 25 years to meet, rehearse and play together in different countries for a week on a yearly base.
- Plan and purpose: to set up an international youth orchestra with 12 (nonet) or 17 talented music students (big band) from an inviting organisation / country and the Netherlands. They come together for a short period (1 week) on a yearly base to work, rehearse and play few concerts in good venues and festivals in both countries.
- The youth orchestra will be directed and conducted by 2 co-leaders: a musician appointed by the concerning inviting organisation/country and on the other hand, by Dutch altoist and composer Paul van Kemenade. They both bring in the music and arrangements for the youth orchestra.
- Both the inviting country as the Dutch music students will have the opportunity to rehearse and play together, in order to help, learn from, respect and stimulate each other (cultures).
